I think the important thing is to be aware of the fact that it was founded by a group of people with potentially unsavory motives, and for us to be aware of this fact when navigating the winding paths of their little technological social experiment.

As an aside, I don't think I've ever once noted an ad on Facebook and thought to myself, "I need to buy that."
