FLAMES COMING OUT THE SIDE OF MY FACE
It's late so this post is going to be short but I really need to get something of my chest before I tear out my hair in frustration.
Glee fandom, you and I really need to have a chat. Namely what is with the completely inappropriate slut-shaming, JFC?
No seriously. Blaine sings a sexy song to try to woo a guy who isn't Kurt and all of a sudden he's a complete asshole and a big old skank? What the hell kind of logic is that?
For those of you who haven't seen it yet but still clicked through the cut, a couple days ago footage surfaced of Blaine singing "When I Get You Alone" by Robin Thicke to a GAP employee apparently named Jeremiah. Fandom's reaction was to get all pissed off and call Blaine a slut for daring to like a guy other than Kurt.

Now, I really don't think I should have to tell anyone this but there is nothing even remotely promiscuous about serenading a dude you like, what the actual fuck. I mean if that's the standard, I can only imagine what these people must think of Rachel Berry. But even if Blaine were fucking GAP Boy sideways in a dirty alley way, it still wouldn't be cool for his friend Kurt to go around calling him a slut for it. So please, please - for the love of all that is holy - stop writing that into your so-called "fix it" fic. UGH.
You know what kind of person calls the object of their affection a slut just because they elect to date/fuck/sing to someone else? Gigantic assholes who mistakenly believe they are somehow more entitled to their crush's romantic attentions just because they've been their friend. Please stop making Kurt into a gigantic asshole, okay? And for fuck's sake, please stop acting like that fixes anything.
Blaine doesn't owe Kurt anything. I'd borrow the words of the immortal Flight of the Concords and say "a kiss is not a contract" but they haven't even done that yet. At this point we don't even know if Blaine is aware of Kurt's crush on him. How on Earth is it fair to fault him for pursuing someone else? I realize everyone is really invested in Kurt's happiness (me included) but what about Blaine's happiness? He gets to have big old gay crushes on whoever he wants too, okay?
Seriously, Glee fandom. Seriously. I am so disappointed in you right now. For a fandom that feels the need to ruin hot sex by having the characters constantly negotiate and re-negotiate what they are and are not "ready for" in a physical relationship, you still have a lot to learn about appropriate attitudes toward sex and sexual behavior.
