i think he was just grinding his teeth. i read this article once about how if rodents don't grind them, the teeth will grow into their skulls and really hurt them (or something like that; it's been a while).

maybe you should give him a block of wood to chew on? i don't know, i'm not rabbit expert

but, at least he can't annoy you now!
