I always found it quite amazing when this would happen. I remember once making 94.00 off a table of 4 when I waited tables at a Fine Dining place. It was a table that at first totally screwed me because 2 couples split the bill in half and one couple thought the other couple tipped me on the whole bill. Later that night, I was at the bar and saw the females of each couple in the bathroom. They said "Oh you were our waitress, we think we made a mistake" and one of the girls wrote me a 54.00 check right there on the soggy bathroom counter. It was awesome but I couldn't believe someone wanted to pay me after the fact and payed me so much. Whatever, I guess. I think having been a server, a good amount of my money is spent on tipping.
