Anyone working retail during the "Holiday rush" deserves your compassion. They won't be humming along to the Chirstmas music that is blasted into their ears everyday of December (and part of November); they may not even smile or say hello- but remember the consumer must remain faceless to the holiday retail worker

I like the protective cape it looks like a good one. I have been out shopping twice in the last two days and I have been smiling and trying to be polite to other shoppers, but they are not having it! I realize they probably didn't make a pact with themselves to enjoy the season like I did so it's ok. So far so good.

Hang in there and we will laugh about all of the crazies this weekend!!!

I was wondering how your pact was going? Glad you are sticking to it. I guess I haven't done as well, or maybe for me the Holiday Season hasn't yet begun- I still get a chance.

that's what i've been thinking about at every check-out line: the music, and what it must be like for them to listen to it all day. blah. i feel so cheesy when i'm christmas shopping, but so far, i've gone to some pretty good places: wazoo records, sam's, and shaman drum. none of these places have had a line. tomorrow i'm going to go to main street party store.

I was being slightly more dramatic than I should have been. We do have the capability of momentarily changing the music, but it continuously goes back to Little Drummer Boy or Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
I like the places you've been shopping- what did you buy at Sam's? A hoodie, jeans, socks, a hat, a bag?
Also, I don't know if Main Street Party store is the best for Christmas gifts-- better for getting you through the shopping part.
