Thanks for the comments! Yeah, poor Joubert got the worst of the deal. But in noir there always has to be someone who gets shafted. And I like to think Johnny and Stephane take over the Conglomerate and restore Brian's name. *g*
Johnny as a PI was such a bizarre idea - and yet, I *really* like it. He does the dry wit so well. And while being a generally positive person, he has a cynical side too so it kind of works.
I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting. :)
Oh, there are few who can successfully play around with the noir style in fanfic but I love the way you use it. It's like the suave front to the understated heart in the story. I seriously enjoy all the details and nuances. Not to mention how you build the plot. Very well done.

Thank you! That's such a compliment. I would have to say, I respect anyone who gives the noir style a try in fanfic because it's not easy and it's generally not happy either so you run the risk of alienating your readers. But it's a challenge. Definitely.
Really pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comments.
The tone of this is perfect, just the right little edge of sarcasm.
I am very glad to hear this from a lover of pulp detective fiction. It's not a natural style for me and it was a lot of hard work. I'm pleased to hear it came over well.
This is hilarious...the last Balenciaga, the Queen fixing competitions, the pre-mixed cosmos, Lysacek in a mental institution...because figure skating is the least noir thing ever and Johnny is the least Philip Marlow person ever and Stéphane is the least *fatale* person ever. Loved every bit!

I KNOW, right? I did a lot of giggling to myself coming up with these gags (I am prone to finding my own jokes funny. It's terribly self indulgent but at least I amuse myself). And Johnny as a cynical hard boiled PI! It was one of those "it's so crazy it just might work" ideas. I kind of think Stephane could do a *great* femme fatale though.

Besides :"Stéphane was like Bambi with skates and a Swiss accent." cracked me up completely ^^.
