So it was our anniversary yesterday and my beautiful man took me to a lovely hotel in Cottesloe for the night to celebrate. ONE NIGHT... not even 24 hours and we get home to find a cat turd in the hall. Fatman, who was left double the amount of food he normally would get by a paranoid mother hoping he wouldn't starve over night, and a new full ( Read more... )

This is only the 2nd time in 15 years that Fatman has done something like this... the first time was about 6 months ago when he got locked into the bedroom all day. I think the love and affection outweighs the few incidences that I have had to deal with

*sigh*
I'm not looking forward to the inevitable disaster scene I'll come back to after my holiday.
Could be worse, Dan's cat Foz has looooong fur so, sadly, he gets dags every now and then to which he seems to think the solution is to do the 'bum run'. On the carpet. And the tiles. And the floorboards.

Fuck no, he'd take my arm right off. It's enough of a struggle chasing him around the house to try to cleam his bum.
I called a vet to find out how much it is to get him clipped and because he'd have to be sedated it would be over $100. I think I'll still do it but I'll wait until next summer and get him clipped all over - he gets really hot and miserable in the heat.

Vinegar can salvage anything. Maia used to tear our towels off the rail & piss in them. I soak the offending garment in vinegar & soap then wash as per normal.
