Two years later, and my playing still is not where I want it to be. Yes, there have been improvements, but right now my range is still only a fraction the size of what it used to be. For three years, I have worked at the Spoke on campus. I have been a loyal employee who rolls with the punches as much as anyone. I admit I could work harder, but hell, at least I know what I'm doing and will get the job done.

These days, my weeks feel pretty long. My normal schedule is wake up around 7:30-8:30 and putter around the apartment for a bit, trying to practice and get other stuff done before I go to work for 10. At 3, I get off from the Spoke, and go home to do a few more things before making dinner around 4 and being at the Grand Theatre by just after 5. ( Read more... )

Yesterday, around 11:45 in the morning, I officially received my degree. I now have a piece of paper stating that I earned a Bachelor of Music, Honours Education degree, with Distinction. It was nice to see people for, in many cases, the last time, and I managed to get pictures with almost all the faculty members I wanted to, save for Mr. McCumber ( Read more... )

In the two months since classes wrapped up, I have been working out the gym 2-3 times a week. 15-20 minutes of stretching, 15 minutes of warmup cardio on the treadmill, 30-45 minutes of weights, another 15-20 minutes of cooldown stretching.
