With her soft coloring style and highly praised typography, ignored_tears has gone through highs and lows in the contest - she started out below rank 20, jumped to first after round 1, and almost didn't make it to the finals - she may have gotten the least amount of points overall, but her Trinity icons tied for first with the highest amount of points among all of the sets. Congrats, ignored_tears, for making it this far! Here's a little banner for you - again, congratulations, and I certainly hope to see you around again in future challenges!

kanrinin as Alicia Florence and almateria as Luke fone Fabre (341 points)

Three Best: 82 points [#02] & 94 [#05]
Three Worst: 141 points [#04] & 146 [#03]
These two were head-to-head for the majority of the voting and - lo and behold, they've tied! The fight for 4th, 3rd and 2nd place was very, very close, and they're behind 2nd place by a measly 9 points - nothing to be ashamed of, for sure.
kanrinin has displayed a great variety in many of her icons, with a style more distinctive than most - she also started out as a mid-ranking participant, and climbed her way to the top! With her really AWFUL bonus round icons for round 06, she reached the top 3, and stayed there for the remainder of the competition - and by very, very little she lost that rank. It's still really impressive, though, so congratulations, kanrinin!
almateria, and her bright but seldom overbearing coloring, had also started out much lower than the top 5. In my opinion, she's shown a great amount of improvement since the first round, and that's why she climbed the ranks and got this far. I loved her icons in the last few rounds - I wish I could make bright colors look that beautiful! Congrats to you as well, almateria!
I certainly hope you two will return for future challenges. :3

twisted_fruitie has a style that definitely sets her icons apart from the mainstream crowd - lots of colors, textures, and daring compositions. Her icons are really hit-and-miss for most people, and it showed in this challenge - she had a LOT of highs and lows, almost got eliminated once (survival by tiebreaker!), barely made it to the finals, and was placing last for the majority of the voting - about 3/4th of the way through, she started gaining a LOT of points, and settled at a solid third place. I'm very very glad to see her placing - her style usually gets her eliminated from icontests (that I've seen) in the last few rounds, and although it is also hit-and-miss for me, I absolutely adored most of her icons for this challenge, and she very much deserved this third place. Congratulations, twisted_fruitie!

saluchna had one of the most impressive performances this challenge - starting out mid-ranked, and after the first few rounds slowly going up in rank, settling solidly among the top 5 in the final rounds. The soft golden tones seemed to really attract the voters! I remember commenting on how it was interesting that points kept going up each round - it was a very well-deserved second place, congratulations, saluchna!

Everyone else will have to forgive me - there really, really was no contest here. whiteplums was the most deserving of this win in my humble opinion - not because I love her icons to death, although the clean style with impeccable image quality and colors is one of my favorites - but because she had simply the best campaign throughout the entire competition. She started out ranked first, led the ranks for about 3/4ths of the rounds, never once left the top five, and not a single icon - not even the three worst - had an overall negative score. Beautifully done, whiteplums, you're absolutely deserving of this first place - winner by a whole 48 points! - for the fantastic performance.
To the finalists, if you'd like your crits, just comment and I'll reply on a screened post as usual. :3 Comments are FINALLY unscreened - party, go wild, go YAY I WON OMG!11 all you want - the challenge's over, after all!
