Sen no Bouken: Day 00 and Day 01
ok...time to recollect....and excuse the typos i:m on a japanese keyboard and they are too small for me
DAY 00
i got on the bus at 8:45 last night after eating a nummy dinner with marika, twas my xmas present from her. i had seafood casserole twas nummy :3 and then strawberry cake. then we went to fuji grand to get some ride beverages and i found camera batteries finally XD yay. so then to the bus... 6 foot serenas do not fit well in 5 foot ceilinged buses. i chatted with the other female passenger for a little bit. she was an nice old lady going to visit her daughter and she helped me understand some things. then i got sleepy since i had a cumulative 15 hours of sleep this week.
and i crashed...as well as one can crash in a small cramped rocking bumping space....i mean i can sleep in a bathtub...but the bus thing...wow.
DAY 01
so i woke up at 6 ....and hour and half before the arrival...so i stared out the window at the approaching tokyo.finlly we stopped at shinjuku to let some passngers off. and i was told tokyo was next :3 yay....is it odd i dont get excited or nervous....i am happy...but i seldomn get excited to make a change in any of my vitals.
so i departed at tokyo along with the old lady, and we went inside she asked me where i was off to....breakfast was my reply....so we said our goodbyes and i wished her safety, she did the same.
now i didn:t see any restaurants or cafes aside fro starbucks, which is not food, i wanted food. so i went to the conbini, conveince store, and bought some crackers....which i then forgot about entirey and still have not eaten.... genius.
asked the shop clerk where the nearest toilet was,,,,made my way there and freshened up a bit. then i found the lockers :3 and shoved my bag into a 300 yen locker ^-^ the thing weighs 30 lbs...i regret this greatly....i might send some of my clothes back home. yay post offices!
then i went back upstairs and to the ticket center...since i couldn:t find the ticket booths...asked how i could get to kaihin makuhari he said i could buy a ticket there...so i did.... 540 yen yay just as planned. then i asked where the keiyo line was...it:s tokyo station...DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY LINES ARE CONNECTED THERE??!?!?!
madness.
anyways, then off to the left, and straight ....straight.....straight....straight till i saw the sign for the west gate....so glad i:ve been studying kanji again. then to the keiyo line.....area....
down some escalators...straight some more....down again....straight.... ugh i was tired by the time i got there. then i didn:t know which platform >.< and no staff to ask...so i carefully studied the signs and deduced TRACK 3! out of 4 ...and i was right XDDDD whooo
so off we went. and more people got on....then more people....and some more people....i was a bit suffocated sitting down.... finally got to the kaihin makuhari station and got out ...
now i was supposed to meet my penpal here....but i couldn:tsee him anywhere and as i had arrived 20 minutes late i assumed he went on without me and he`d call. so off i went.
like a sheep. i had to resist the urge to bleat a few times actually...i dont think the japanese would understand. but jump festa was veeeery clearly marked. signs, staff with megaphones, posters, 100 foot tall character billboards <3
then i was finally there. Shonen Jump Festa.
i got into line to enter....and waited....and shuffled...and felt sheepie....like i was being herded....and waited...as young boys pushed my to go when there was no where to go, and looked around realizing that i was still the only foreigner....then an hour later i was in! a ginat inflatable naruto greeted me,,,,and ichigo kurosaki but i no like bleach. saw some cosplayers getting dressed. and i was in hall one and two.
hall one and two are mostly video game halls, and also a bit of movie watching....i some some dbz thing where older vegeta was talking to a little vegeta...that was odd....
i saw a giant chocobo! and also an inflatable figure that really appealed to me...i learned later the name of the series is letter bee / tegami bachi its really pretty....i reccomend it...
now i:m not big on standing in lines for 2 hours to play a video game....so i went on. halls 3/4/5/6 were largely information about jump series, jump related games, photo ops, music theatre, and a few shops. i found a keychain for hazuki san, she loves itachi and she always lends me lots of manga and she bought me some kuroshitsuji things...so i hope she likes it^-^
that was all though. i asked some people t o take a pictue or two of me. one with gama boss toad XD
then i went on to halls 7 and 8....the stores....
hehehe
i love shopping if its in something which interests me...and anime DEFINITELY interests me. so first i went to the COSPA store...the didn:t have anything for me but i found xmas presents for lainey and kalin hahah yay!
and then i went to animate shop, but after being in line for 20 minutes....i heard something. a voice! a voice i knew! so i hopped out of the chain line and ran to see the stage....it was him....he was there....inoue kazuhiko, the voice actor of hatake kakashi. i was 50 feet from him. i squealed happily and began taking pictures :3 hahaha i`m so fangirl.
oh the restof the main naruto cast was there too...*shrugs*
but they did announce the new naruto movie <3 <3 and all the genin originals will be in it...but i didn:t see kakashi which worries me...but maybe they dont wanna show him to make everyone thibnk he is really dead....god i hope so,,,,cause i dont want to have to actually kill masashi kishimoto
after that....i went over to the Shonen Jump Shop. and briefly debated staning in the 50 minute line,.....until i saw a kakashi pillow....then i was in line.
ugh so painful to stand in line for an hour with feet like mine. even with my ankle braces on it felt horrible. but i shuffled and waited and shuffled and waited and shuffled and waited until i was finally in! first thing was run to the oppiste side of the store and get my pillow. then i came back to front and stoof for 15 minutes in line to look at pins.... oya oya...
got a new kakashi pin :3 when he was a kid <3 and also gon and killua XD hisoka:s looked funny....so i opted against it. i founds some postcards, a present for andy, a present for forrest, and a letter bee folder, as i was heading out i espied the posters XDDDD
and i found a letter bee poster and a poster from kurenai, which i don:t like but the art is pretty ^-^ paid for all of that....it was <100 but >50 $ ^-^
i ated some chidori chicken steak at the jump cafe and made my way to the open air cause i was warm. there i saw people in a line...nd it was short!
so i looked around to see what it was for.
inoue kazuhiko....i seeeee hiiiiiiim
so i got in line. you walk by shake theur hand and you can say something to them.
"hi i`m serena."
"hello ^-^"
"you aren`t really dead.....right?!?!?!"
"hahaha"
"no...really....are you?"

i then realized i was about to take his arm off >.> so i let go and left hahaha i scarred kakashi i scarred kakashi whooooo
i almost shook hands with the mangaka of gintama, one piece, and susumu chiba who voice acts youzen from houshin engi, and kondo from gintama. and i also shook hands with gintoki:s seiyuu who is veeeery smex in a geek way.
after that i wandered a bit and looked at things, took pictures etc...then my phone rang...twas a tomoko! they were over at jump stage ...so i went and stood in lne.....for 2 hours.....TWO HOURS! finally got in and watched the gintama crew do some fun interview stuff and gameshow tyoe thing with shinpachi`s seiyuu being the host hahaha it was adorable. after that i called the tomo`s and after MUCH hardship located them in the crowd. and made my way there.
there we watched the bleach voice actors...who i must say....i like about as much as i like the anime...they were all kind of arrogant and meh,....but then the mangaka was all here`s the band that singsa some of our songs...and at first i was all OMFG ORANGE RANGE... not! it was sambamaster...so i got mini concert. their drummer is awesome....and quite handsome.
after that was piece. now i have only seen 2 episodes of one piece...they were in eglish and i felt they were horrible....but i LOVE the japanese seiyuu for it. they all came out in cosplay....to the extent one was in a speedo with a blue fauxhawk...hilarious! sanji and zoro were awesome...chopper annoys me....her voice is too high >,.> whoops about taking all those gintama pics >.>
after they were done, they had us all tell the mangaka thank you and merry xmas as a surprise then they did a group song hahaha and announced the new one piece movie coming out...i think i`ll start reading it now....
after one piece it was over...which i was a little sad because i never got to go back to animate and get the kakashi keychain....but i do go to akihabara tomorrow so it should be ok ^-^
after we made it out of the main halls, tomo and tomo said they were off soon and i asked them if they knew where i might find a net cafge to sleep at. ikebukuro or shibuya....so off they went to catch their plane back to tokushima, be safe my friends. they also were kind enough to take ALL my bags back to tokushima for me ....i had a loooot of stuff...but altogther i spent around 150 $ which is great considering it was a convention.
for myself i bought, a naruto tshirt, a naruto group tshirt, a naruto bag, a naruto/kakashi pillow, a kakashi pin, a gon pin, a killua pin, a letter bee folder, a letter bee poster, a kurenai poster, a d gray man postcard
then 6 presents :3 yay
after heading out of jump festa and quickly donning my hoodie. i found a ....really leaky public bathroom ...like a tsunami had rolled through it. then i went to the station but it was so crowded with all the con goers i decided to get dinner first.... i saw a sign for outback steakhouse across the street and was sorely dissapointed to see they were shut down....
so i had thai food instead ;3
shrimp fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, fried fish cakes, coconut ice cream and mango juice.
the first "mango juice" my waitress brought had floating thingsd in it...and it was clear...and it tasted like .....nasty.
so when she came wit my appetizer i asked her if this was actually mango juice and she said no...i told her i had ordered mango juice, she apologized and brough me my juice :3 hahah yay being given alcohol and wanting kiddy juice instead . rawr i is 6 years old.
good dinner only about 18$ and then i saw a sign for a 24 hour net cafe....and decided i was too tired to keep searching for a bed...so i came up here... got in..am currently sipping on all the free cocoa i can have...and MELON SODA!!!! i love melon soda. it:s really comfy. i took the reclining chair room. they have regular, cushioned floor rooms, massage chairs and reclining chairs. honestly if i got the masage one i`d never leave. so i`ve been looking at the manga they have here...which is a lot. and drinking my cocoa...and i borrowed a camera sd card hub from the clerk to upload all my pictures....so here you are....only 129 :3
