[Max is sitting on his bed with his Dreamberry, still wearing his private school uniform, though the tie has been loosened and the shirt untucked. His glasses are off and he doesn't look like a very happy kid. His too-thin shoulders sag as he stares at the screen of the phone, silent for a few seconds]

I miss home.

Well. We ordered out a lot. [Little smile] My sister can't cook and my brother just makes coffee, and my parents aren't home much. So it's usually Chinese or Pizza.

[ seeing another kid instantly gets D's attention. He's reminded of Dan, actually. ]

...Are you okay?

[mangandsleep]

[Max blinked at the sound of a voice responding to his video. He can't see anything but a blur without his glasses, but he squints at the brightness of the Dreamberry screen]

Is there really no way to get back?

[nothiskidthanks]

Only if you wake up.

How do I do that? [Max asked, eyes wide]

Maybe there's a rune for it!

[Jensen's always had a soft spot for kids, so he can't help but sympathize for the little guy.]

I get a little homesick being stuck here, too.

Really?

[Max squinted at the Dreamberry without his glasses, feeling a little better that he wasn't acting like a mundane child, complaining about small things]

Where are you from?

[Hey, he's got his gadgets but the guy misses the rest of his buddies too.]

America. L.A., specifically. How about you? Where you from, kid?

New York City. Manhattan.

Have you ever been there?

[Izzy doesn't want to just call him back. So here she is, rapping on his door to let him know she's there before opening the door and looking at him sympathetically from the doorway.]

[Max lowers the Dreamberry and glances up at the doorway, seeing only a blur of skin and clothes and hair. Luckily he recognizes Isabelle's voice and she gave him the warning knock]

[she gives him a warm smile.] Mind if I come in?

No. [He answered softly, fidgeting with his tie]

Most of us do, bambino.

But why doesn't anybody talk about it? Everyone sounds so happy to be here on this. [Max taps the Dreamberry case lightly]

What is there to talk about exactly? [ lifts a brow up. ] Would sitting around sulking about everything be more suitable?

No. [Max looked away, embarrassed]
