Yay, a post from person I can only call not-mangaroo when not-speaking to you in your head!! We missed you. (Well, I missed you, and the unibrain squees as one.)
because I am NOT NOT NOT doing McShep Sims
You will when you start watching Stargate: Atlantis. Trust me on this. Surrender to the inevitable.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on the credit card debt! I will be sad now because I don't have a debt buddy any more, but never mind that. Please rejoice in your debt-free status and trample on my sadness.
Seriously, that is great news. Not least because it means more money to buy SGA DVDs, which you really should do, because why waste the money renting disks to see if you like it when you're just going to end up buying them anyway?

But I was watching SGA before watching SGA was something the unibrain did. I saw Robert Patrick go through the Stargate like a red shirt four years ago. And don't get me started on what they did to Ford or how much I can't stand Teyla except when she's interacting with Ronon. (I first met McKay when he was being a jacka** to Sam on the original series. I really hated him there because he seemed to represent a lot of the fannish attitude toward Carter. I loved Stargate; I just hated the fans. He has long since grown on me.)

I have a student loan debt that looks more like a mortgage without the benefit of equity. I'm kinda sad that I'm free of the cc debt because it was split between cards, which meant that each time a given card was paid off, I could re-allocate that money to another card. Unlike the student loan, which is just a black hole of money-gobbling.
I'm glad you were able to pay off your credit cards. That's a major accomplishment. (Does this mean you can allocate funds toward another Comiket trip?)
I'm also happy to hear that the casserole came out well for you. Sometimes cheesy potatoes just hit the spot.

I am ready for Winter Comiket '08. (Actually, I'm ready for Summer Comiket, but somebody has stated that she will never go back to Japan in summer, and the crowds are probably more tolerable in Winter.) Whenever we go (please let it be soon), I am planning on fasting the day before...and maybe for the entire trip.
Yay, a post! (I would have commented sooner if, um, I had been online since this weekend. I really miss having the internets at work. Not that I would've had time this week.)

Actually, SGA Sims don't really interest me anyway. I'm not sure why... Anyway, I'm just happy to hear that you are still planning on doing the Phoenix and Edgeworth Sims, because I've been wondering about that.
Congratulations on paying off your credit card debt! I felt that joy a couple years ago, and swore I wouldn't do that to myself again...but here I am, with more credit card debt. -_- On the bright side, I've managed to shuffle it around on cards with long 0% interest periods, so it's not really hurting anything right now, and hopefully I can keep it that way.

*sniffle* That's too bad. I was looking forward to the chance that you might join in on the fangirling.
Ah, well. I will continue to look forward to the Phoenix/Edgeworth sims. (I'm not done with that obsession by a long shot.)
Ordered any new manga lately?
