s'okay. By the time it became news, it was already too late for me to order the book. It's just very disappointing to know I'll be missing such an excellent volume in the series. (US fans have been accused of being too lenient in this matter, but I'll admit I think the decision is an over-reaction. Yes, plagiarism is wrong and there should be consequences, but the appeal of Harudaki lay in the characters' stories, not the fashionable poses. I'm sure there's plenty of plagiarized images in Boku no Koe and When a Man Loves a man...didn't make me like those books.)
13? Try 6-12! (oh wait, I have #11.) SIGH. It's funny that your post comes up now, I finally got to watch the OVA on Wednesday night and was bumming about how I wanted more of the manga. I never read it in scanlation or anything, so I've only read through english vol 5. :(
If it makes you feel better, I knew about the scandal and it being the reason she canceled as a guest at Yaoi-con, but I missed that she was quitting the biz altogether. Your link was news to me. Man, that sucks.
I had long since given up hope of seeing more Harudaki in English. Now I wonder if any label other than Blu has the financial backing to survive the economic spiral. (Gee, I do get cheery around the holidays, don't I?)
On a positive note, if you wanted to collect 6-10+12 in Japanese, they'll probably still be available in the used stores. 13, not so much. I know, I know. You're not planning on going to Japan this month, but you'll go someday.

I suppose by your viewpoint it might seem this way, but I think Blu might be among the less secure of the remaining active BL publishers. TP as a whole is seeing a drain, and I don't think their BL line is any safer/healthier than their regular line. They have a few good sellers and probably their recent Hinako Takanaga releases will boost their catalog, but honestly, they are plagued by the same sickness as their regular line. TP has been beat, and they'll never regain what they once had.
Trailing in late (I've been mostly offline for the last couple of days due to rebuilding my hard drive)... I didn't realize you didn't know about HaruDaki! Like everyone else, I just assumed you were plugged in.
I knew she was on hiatus, but I didn't know that she was quitting the business and that all of her backlist had been pulled. :-( That sucks. I'm not even sure how many of the last few volumes of HaruDaki I have. Well, I guess I can't throw away all those magazines now.
If I ever need an anecdote to explain the difference between being a reader and being a fan, this is going to be it. I had no clue about Nitta. I don't read any manga blogs or follow any anime/manga sites, so if one of you doesn't mention a newsworthy event, I'll never hear about it. The funny thing is that if I had been ordering my manga every month, I wouldn't know about Nitta at all. A couple of years could have gone by before I would have asked y'all why there wasn't a Harudaki 14.

I hope finding the rest of your list, makes up for the unhappy surprise.

New quest for our next trip, perhaps?
