This past weekend,
spacealien_vamp and I visited Mendocino. I've never been before, and I have to admit that I would never have proposed the location because, on the face of it, there's "nothing" to do there. There are wineries and galleries and vegetarian restaurants (and extreeeeeme vegetarian restaurants) and dogs and a profound love of California flora, but

Having driven thru the area(s) you're describing... this made me laugh and laugh. Silly woman. XD I also loved that the forest made your car think it was dark. Priceless!
Also:
mangaroo+ ocean surf = OTP.
TWINS! ♥
How come you don't carry a camera? (Especially on a trip?!) It's too bad it rained, but it sounds like you had a nice time away anyhow.

I don't carry a camera because I'm not a particularly gifted photographer. And I wouldn't scrapbook the output (digitally or physically). And it's another thing to carry. And because I took 192 pictures of the Washington Monument when I was 15 years old.

I don't tend to do much with my pictures either but I like to take them because it gives me a memory. Not to sound all Ritsuka or anything, but I have a very, very bad memory and I'm fond of reminiscing. I'm also fond of sharing with others. :) But I totally get the whole "one more thing to carry around" business, haaaa.

This particular attack kitty avoided the dogs by hopping up on a printer behind the concierge desk when doggies were in the lobby. (I am trying very hard not to resent the doggie for interrupting my petting session. Such a pretty kitty.)

Bring a dog.
I am trying to wrap my head around this request. It's not going well. ("A dog? Well, I could bring a stuffed dog. Do I even have a stuffed dog? I might have a little plastic Strawberry Shortcake dog..." etc etc)

Borrow a dog. It needs to be a golden retriever or a Labrador. One of the big, friendly-looking breeds. No German Shepherds or Pinschers need apply. (I'm sure the inns are equally pet-friendly to cats. I assume the restaurants and stores would be, except cats don't WANT to spend time in strange human commercial buildings. Or go out in the rain.)
