Happy New Year!

And welcome to 2011: The Year of Recovery. (Hang in there. 2013 is going to be the year of living dangerously, so there's fun times ahead.)

Resolutions: Read more fiction and narrative non-fiction. Either max my retirement contributions or start an investment account outside my 403(b).

Happy New Year! Exactly what will the Year of Recovery entail?

It's Jan 2 and I haven't gotten around to making any resolutions... this does not bode well. (Though I am planning a serious ongoing campaign of decluttering, which I started before I left and need to continue when I get back. This is the year I plan to recover my home office.)

I was going to answer this in a f'locked post, but the heck with it:

As much as I wish the year of recovery (for me) were a metaphor for recovering space through decluttering, it's actually about recovering from overeating. Although I wish I had just taken this approach at the start of 2010, what's past is prologue...and may have been necessary to get me to the right frame of mind re: compulsive eating. I haven't eliminated the possibility of joining OA, but for now I am following an "attuned eating" plan. Which I will be chatting about ad nauseam under lock.
