[HSJ] DEAR.
Yaho~! I'm alive. Sorry for not posting in so long. I like long posts, but I hate writing them ahaha... I think I'll try to post small things more often. *crosses fingers*
Hey! Say! JUMP's new album, DEAR., has a different sound this time. I feel there's a lot more brass and band sound. (I obviously have no musical terminology lol)
My first impression was not really good or bad, but after spending a few days listening to it, pretty much all the songs have grown on me. In terms of pure listening enjoyment, my favorite is probably SUPERMAN, mostly because I like the faster, more dance-like ones. (Not to say I don't like the ballad-like ones, because I do. Just... a different like? XD)
Yamachan and Daichan's unit song, My Girl, is actually a genre I don't like, but their song has grown on me so much I have no idea how. It's maybe in my top 7 for this album now. Like what magic is this??? It's amazing. Amazingly crazy ahaha.
Similarly, Hikaru and Inoo's unit song, Konya Anata wo Kudokimasu, grated on me (because I don't like it when they add the "young/female" voices to supplement the song). And what English I can hear is so weird (silent queen? beauty queen?). And yet... it's now in my top 7??? Magic!
Regarding the tracklist, I was amazed to realize that practically the entire album consisted of new songs! Out of the 21 songs available, one is an intro and doesn't really count as a song and another is Kimi Attraction (single song). But that leaves 19 songs I'd never heard before. *~* so happy
(I also realized when I was listening to the album on the train that I've managed to learn all the members' voices, and can recognize their voices on solo lines. haha)
As of this post, I haven't had time to crack open my own copy to watch the PV and making for Masquerade. The previews I've seen suggest it will be amazing though. (Yes, it's somehow so difficult for me to play the physical DVD than to watch on my computer XD)
There is just one thing about this album I'm slightly disappointed in.
Which is the winning sub unit's PV and making of Mr. Flawless. Or the lack there of in the available versions to buy. Apparently only 10,000 people will receive a copy. And those people are chosen from the applicants for this campaign, which requires a special user code from the RE.
1. I don't have the money to buy multiple copies of the first press RE. Nor would I want to (what would I do with those things???)
2. You need a Japanese address for the application. (They won't send it overseas)
3. You need a Japanese mobile phone number for the application.
*sigh*
I hope someone with the luck to win will share their copy? ^-^
