Hey, I know, let's throw Scooter under the bus. Didn't he write some Bear-rape slash, anyway? Let's leak that too.

Well let's not forget who the first president to "cut-n-run" in Iraq was.

Dubya's daddy, IIRC.

I am glad Kerry didn't win, but god, this prez is embarassing.

I'm up for a gamble with Kerry but it's a moot point now.

as retarded as it sounds, I'm glad dubya is in office right now.

were it Kerry, the republicans would be shitting on his grave and hanging the impeachment forms on their mantelpieces.

were it someone smarter, all the Straussians would have us all over a real barrel, not just this land of make believe dubya is playing house in. seriously, if someone with intelligence and charisma were in office, pushing the program they're pushing (perpetual war, big brother police state, etc) we'd be fucked with no hope for a reach-around.

yeah, he's a fucktard. he's a necessary fucktard though. I hope the new congress impeaches his ass come december.

I don't buy it. We don't have a clue what Kerry would have done. I'm not saying he would be better then Bush but we don't know. Anyone who makes assumptions about it gets the "bullshit" card from me.

I'm not saying he would have been better or worse. I'm saying the Republican Congress would fight tooth and nail anything he did, and considering how loud the Republican Noise Machine can be, any mistake or lag on his part and they'd be pinning every failure, especially Iraq, on him. They'd be screaming that he "dropped the ball" at the first hint of trouble. That's just what they do. If you look at how he handled the campaign, he'd spend all his time on PR cleanup. Just like in the campaign, they'd make him look awkward and ineffectual. Whether he really is or not, that's how he came across, even to me.

I'm comparing his condition to Andrew Johnson. A guy who inherited a world of shit from the previous president.

even if they didn't impeach him, it wouldv'e paved the way for the Republicans to contol the place again in 2006 and in 2008, and possibly hold it for another 8 years. as it is they're failling on their face with their ineptitude and fuck-ups, and they have no one else to blame.

Points I've heard before but I'm not sure I buy them or not since there isn't really enough evidence one way or the other. I can se your point though.

I think mostly there would be a big stand still and nothing would have gotten done, which could have been bad and could have been good.
