(Though I doubt it myself sometimes)

Endless stuff to do at work
though I guess I should be thankful that I have one

Mostly end up working overtime, get home around 8~9pm-ish
eyes mostly too sore and body tired to do anything else either than eat, wash up, sleep D:

During weekends I don't open the computer much, either. (they tend to make my eyes sore ( Read more... )

*HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS*

On my job, past 7 is a pretty average time to get off work, though it does vary from assignment to assignment. Before 7 is early - "yay". After that is... still normal. >_> 9 is "that sucks" but not uncommon. Midnight and on is "that really sucks" but it does happen occasionally (and its frequency is expected to rise as we hit the 'peak period' of Jan to Mar). So yes, I think I can empathise with the feeling of work simply taking up so much of life that you don't feel you get to do anything else and sometimes just being so sick of it all. (I end up sleeping rather late in my chase for some leisure time, though it's probably really bad for health and I know it.) How long have you been going home past 8pm? And tell me you're getting paid for the OT.

*HUGS BACK*

Thank you, really. Same, past 7 is average. Er...it's practically been like this since I really start to take over the position (during the first week the person who's place I'll be taking, is transferring to another department, so she spend the time teaching me things, so I get to go home at 6)

Once I worked till 4 in the morning...but that's a special case. (I don't expect it will happen alot) And I do get paid (you can choose if you want pay or exchange the hours for days off--I mostly choose to exchange for holiday)

Still dislikes it though. You're working late on occasion as well? *sigh*...And yes, you'd want leisure time so as a result you'd sleep late...Still, have to live with it, and it's not easy getting a job nowadays...so, still thankful, in a way. Thanks, though...and I'm sorry I can't update LJ much.
