picture update
as most of you know, yolanda and her family sold their house and have moved away -- it was the end of an era! and because last thursday was her last night in the house, the old summer neighbourhood crew got together in the middle of the night (at like two am) to commemorate all the wonderful late nights we've had together in it.

we got into a bit of a tickle fight.
unfortunately, yuan had already left for china and missed our last night together in yolanda's house. so we decided to text message him so that our summer neighbourhood crew could be together in spirit. yolanda and i then had a race to see who could send their message first.

i just love how awkward/scary/wonderful my face is in this picture.
and then everyone got in on it!
we had some issues with aim and awkward faces
and confusion over who was actually supposed to take the photo!
we kept trying to coordinate our facial expressions and kept failing...i was under the impression this was our "surprised by how empty the house is" photo...
at least yolanda also did asian hands with me

since i couldn't be there all summer, last weekend i went up to camp for a quick visit (stayed friday until sunday). it was amazing getting to see everyone, and i just wish i had taken more pictures.

berkal tried to sleep, but i wouldn't let him.
i quickly snapped the first picture of sidney, and then she complained that she looked creepy in it, so i went to take another one but she just kept talking throughout it...and now there are two sidney pictures!
and just because she is awesome -- miss marianna and her duct tape glasses!
