Holy crap so I finished Empire of Ivory and Avatar: The Last Airbender today.

Empire of Ivory was really great, especially the ending because holy crap.  That twist came out of nowhere for me and it really made that last fifty pages or so a real treat.  I feel really sad, though, because hopefully this doesn't mean that we'll be getting less of Harcourt/Berkeley/Roland and all those other awesome characters.  ALSO VOLLY <3333 I love Volly, I was glad to see that he made a brief appearance in this book.  I need to pick up Victory of Eagles IMMEDIATELY because that was a pretty fierce cliffhanger, I wasn't expecting it at all.

I think it might break down as Throne of Jade > Black Powder War > His Majesty's Dragon > Empire of Ivory, though maybe BPW and ToJ are reversed.  GOD THESE BOOKS ARE SO WONDERFUL.  I want Peter Jackson to make this movie.  It would be just so damn cool.

Avatar was just like... holy shit, I don't even know, it was crazy.  The battle between Azula and Zuko was just jaw dropping.  There is something amazingly fantastic about huge fire bursts everywhere in a battle.  :O  AZULA IS SO CRAZY.  But I did kind of feel for her that episode, when she just starts crying hysterically after breaking the mirror.  :(  WHERE IS ZUKO'S MOM.  That was the only thing I was really disappointed about, because I thought it was going to cut to slightly in the future where she's with Team Avatar, or at least give us a little more closure.  idk I was just a little disappointed.  I would have liked to see her interactions with Zuko and Azula.

Katara's ice!attack against Azula was amazing.  :O  I also liked how she just started flailing around and screaming.  D:  It reminded me of a dragon, probably because I had just been reading Temeraire, lol.

Iroh and Zuko's reunion was painfully heartbreaking and sweet and just perfect and wonderful in every way.  I loved that they were both crying and both of the things that they said were just so genuine and aaaa I just loved it.  The Most Esteemed Order of Old People was also awesome.  <3333

How did Aang get back into his Avatar state? I had thought he'd locked it, but I guess not?  Either way that fight was amazing, holy crap.  I didn't know how they were going to satisfactorily bring the Fire Lord's reign to a close, but they did an amazing job with it.

SUKI KICKED SO MUCH ASS YOU GO SUKI
Also just Toph and Sokka and everyone, aaaaaa~

Aaaand I didn't mind the kiss at the end as much as I thought I would.  Though, these last few eps were really Katara/Zuko heavy, or so it seemed to me.  I have also decided that I like Mei and Ty Lee very much now.  :B

IN OTHER NEWS, I LOVE AVATAR KYOSHI.
