What was getting up at 7AM to go vote yesterday all about?

Doing your part to help Kerry carry Michigan - which he did.

What was helping out at the polls so other people could vote from 1-4PM yesterday all about?

Being part of the process, which is almost as important as the eventual outcome.

How could my fellow human beings pass the gay marriage ban amendment?

Fuck if I know. This is the one issue I've never been able to see the other side of. Just drives me batshit crazy.

How could anybody be stupid enough to vote for Bush TWICE?

Wartime commander-in-chief. Weak opposition. Simple 'values' and 'morals' that resonate with people, even if they're bullshit.

Where was the mobilization that folks like MoveOn and BushFlash were talking about?

Everybody just went for the free concerts. Nobody actually showed up to VOTE.

What the fuck was any of it about?

Doing what you had to do. The rest of it just has to play itself out. Suck donkey ass, but there it is.

And yeah, I know those were rhetoricals, but I figured they deserved answers, anyway.
