It's just the difference between "art" and some print that's on your wall. It probably took a lot longer to make the "art", and you had to go to a specialized, upper class school in order to make it. Doesn't mean that the print on your wall has any less impact on you, or that it took less skill to make it.

The only valid argument for that sentiment is if you look at beach reading as a commodity, instead of a gift of the soul. In many cases that is true.

Oh, I don't think I mentioned it to you, I've started writing a book, and it'd be more along the beach than the foyer. And I value this writing process as much as any literary or academic process.
