i was reading and it was dark. a loudly-buzzing fly landed on my page and i quickly closed the book, half-hoping it would escape and leave me alone, but at the same time that it would just die. i heard and felt it crush between the pages, but turned back to the page i was reading without checking to see if it had died to scrape it off the sheet

I'd say neither. The fly has no knowledge of life or death, only instinctual desire to feed. The average housefly has a life expectancy of only one day, no biggie.

i'd say tragic... u killed a fuckin fly.. ur gonna go to hell now.. u .. u.. u.. u fly killer... now i'm gonna go curl up in a corner and mourn the death of that poor fly .. while i cry... (not supposed to rhyme)......
