Wow. Aurora starts second grade this year, and is the size of a fourth-grader. Her backpack actually fits now. The first backpack I bought her, when she was 3 going into pre-school as opposed to just daycare fit her like Gia's. If you don't have to buy her uniforms from a specific place, frenchtoast.com has good uniforms at reasonable prices. I really like ours, especially since they aren't really, really strict, just khaki or navy bottoms and navy, lt. blue or white tops.
I wish they made backpacks in a variety of sizes! This is just insane!
Most of the uniform stuff we can get anywhere...which is nice. But the plaid is special. We just got two plaid skirts/skorts...but the rest is the khaki and navy stuff you get at Target.
Hopefully they won't put too much in it! Even during first grade, we were still at lunch, jacket, a folder that went between the class and home, and a casual reading book, nothing too heavy

I swear it was just a few months ago you were posting baby pictures. RIGHT? ;)
I will never get over how kids grow up so fast.. its like that unbearably long period when they are newborns.. then they get past that and poof they grow up.
Of course, I also didnt think it was possible for her to get any cuter (cos the cute has been killing me for apparently longer than I thought :P) but she is really REALLY turning into a little heart breaker. Daddy better have his baseball bat at the ready ;)

She was so ready for school today, but I was a total mess! I thought I might cry on my walk back to the car.
