Another story!

I have dusted off the beginnings of a new story that has been sitting in my hard drive for at least three years.  I polished it up, and now the first chapter is ready to post.

It's a very good chapter. I like the fact that Pippin knew his sister's favourite colours and was eager to please them. I also think it was very generous of Bilbo to allow Pippin to go 'shopping' in his mathom room. It's no wonder all of the children were fond of dear Bilbo. I like Merry's patience too and the fact that he is trying very hard to help find a solution for Pippin's problem. I look forward to more.

Thank you, Kathie! I am glad that you're enjoying this. I haven't written young Merry/Pippin for awhile, so it's good to see I still have what it takes.

What a wonderful start! You've painted a perfect picture of young Pippin as I've always imagined him, generous and eager to please the ones he loves!

I think the idea of Merry helping him choose is lovely; and as GW said, it's very generous of Bilbo to let them use his mathoms (although, since he always gave new gifts himself, his mathom rooms must have been crammed full. I bet he was relieved to have some of it gone! LOL!)

I hope Paladin will learn to value Pippin's gifts...look forward to more...
