I still don't completely understand the misogyny claims, but I understand that okay, he doesn't like Rose. Which I'm perfectly fine with, if he'd just at least respect her and stuff, which he wasn't really. I love Fireplace, I think it was one of the first Ten I saw.

What irritates me about Moffat's romance stories is that despite how touching they are, sometimes I feel like I've been cheated. I loved the Doctor and Rose because it was gradual, it was a burgeoning type of thing that happened over the two series, but he keeps writing one-time romances that neither had that gradual build or anything. Maybe that's just me, but I consider it frustrating for an episode I really do enjoy.
