the retreat was really awesome. really... emotional and just awesome. i'm so not a religious person, but i don't know. it wasn't even about religion really though. it was just, i don't know. we all like came together. everone. like our whole grade, and with the letters they gave us from our family, i don't know... that made some people feel like ( Read more... )

I like how you describe it a lot. I talked to someone else about it and they talked about how they feel like a better person. It almost makes me feel jealous, to be an Anglican. Our community isn't so tight-knit here in Medfield. But then I remember - I couldn't ever be a Catholic. I just don't agree with the things the religion puts out. I doubt most people who were on that trip can. But the American Roman Catholic Church is different than the rest of the world. They're different from their old self - the molestations changed everything. It's a kinder, gentler and more paranoid church now, desperate to get as many people to join and give them money as possible. And save some souls, as they see it.

hey newsflash bill, i don't agree with a lot of the things the catholic church puts out either. i never even mentioned religion. you were just looking for an excuse to bitch and sound uber-educated. i guess the rest of us are dumb. fuck you.
