I guess if there is a silver lining in any of this for all of us, it is wisdom. I really hope things work out for you, and I am glad that you can focus on the positives of your situation. I don't really have any advice because I don't have much of a concept for what you are dealing with, but I do wish you good luck and hope for the best for you.

thank you. my up-swings and psychosis have given me hell, but hell gives you insight. even depressive psychosis can teach you something. it's a long pain meditation. i've learned a lot from my illness. at the same time, though, i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. it's an awful thing. it's an affliction. it's robbed me of my intellect, my realism, my dignity. emphasis on my dignity.

I took philosophy and I found that it really helped me redefine my expectations of reality. Philosophical skepticism was particularly helpful, especially with Kant's reasoning that we can't know reality. It made it easier for me to understand that my reality was still real and that objective reality was beyond people, period. I don't know if it will help others, but I recommend it checking into it.

i read a lot of philosophy in my spare time. kant is a bit of an important gap in my reading, which i intend to remedy once exams are over and i have time to read for my own pleasure & edification. could you recommend a book to start with to get into kant?
