BP opinion q's--

 Hey guys--opinion question here:

What, if any, books have you found to be true to the issue of living with bipolar disorder?

What books or authors do you feel really understand and relate to what it feel like to struggle with bipolar disorder daily (and is not overly preachy)?

"An Unquiet Mind" by Kay Redfield Jamison. Jamison is a psychologist who now works at the Johns Hopkins Med School in the psychiatry department. She suffers from bipolar disorder. The book goes into both her own experiences with the disease and discusses it from the view of mental health professional. It's an excellent blend of memoir and information.

I found Stephen Fry's documentary "The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive" very, very informal and objective. I highly recommend!

when i got diagnosed i found 'you don't have to be famous to be a manic deppressive' the whole book is a conversation between a patient and doctor and it's actually quite funny. All very true.

Just to make sure I'm not too strange, what the weirdest thing you've done while manic and in a session with a theropist or doctor?
