Torchwood and Firefly (not really spoilery)

So Torchwood: Children of Earth is a quantum leap for the series. I watched that - went OMG fuckkkkk - and then went and watched the entire series. I'd watched maybe one episode of Torchwood and was like meh - but the series three that is Children of Earth was spectacular. It was fantastic ( Read more... )

CoE was awesome and everything Torchwood should've been from the beginning (omg could.not.stand season1+2 characters).

There was all sorts of statements about humanity (some politicians too busy thinking about saving their own skin while others acknowledge that they're making a terrible choice/decision and willing to own up to it), about leadership (what if the Doctor *hadn't* deposed Harriet Jones and she had still been around or at least been around long enough to fund research into defense weapons like the one that destroyed the Sycorax???)... Ahh it was so good!

See - and I have no idea what that means. I am woefully behind on Doctor Who, having watched the Christopher Eccleson stuff and nothing else. Torchwood was fantastic - the politics, the families, everything - it was great.
