According to Zexion, it is. There's really no other place to find anything literature or information-wise.

I...don't really know if there's any information specifically on purgatory, sorry...

I think Zexion said something about a book, but that was by some Dante guy. A comedy, I think. I dunno what's funny about this place, though.
