Why does it hurt so much to realize that stupid people do stupid things, even if they know that they are in fact "stupid things"?

I'm starting to worry over wanting to get to know Paige better. I'm afraid to lose a friend, instead of just knowing more about her. At least it's not the anxiety type fear, which comes from hopelessness. Thank God for that. This is something I have absolute control over. It's my desesion whether or not to try to know her better. well i guess "wheel of fortune" correctly describes my emotional state lately, i go from 0 to 60 in the snap of a finger. mostly its been from hyper to sad to extremely mad. i just cant get somethings outta my head, and i cant make other things stay in there. i dont even think i know wat im saying but maybe i do.
