I expect the engine problems to be resolved as soon as possible. Not being an engineer, I do not have a professional opinion to give, but I will be extremely disappointed if we cannot get back in the air very shortly.

Also, am I alone in hearing a rattling in the pipes? It sounds unhealthy.

There has also been some complaints to me about horrific wailing? I assure you that they are not coming from the infirmary, as I am alone here at the moment.

I can't decide if that is comforting or not.

All the crew members are accounted for. I don't know what to make of it.

No, sir, not that I can tell.

Forgive me, but I cannot yet answer the question of just what is going on. I'll be sure to let the officers know as soon as I do.

No, you're not. It... is getting pretty unnerving.

Captain Rowe, I am called Yami. I'm a new crew member, a mechanic. [tone of quick greeting and intro to be polite before getting down to business] I'm down in the engine room right now and have been for several hours.

I have a feeling the problem in the pipes may be related to the engine, though I'm afraid I can't explain exactly how just yet. Mechanically, everything's fine, except for the odd thing that's been moved or misplaced altogether. Nothing terrible, just small prankish stuff, though I honestly can't say I can see how anyone could have pulled such mischief without my knowing. But . . . that aside, I can't . . . I'm afraid I can't explain the loss of power. There is absolutely no logical, demonstrable reason for it. None. [sounds frustrated]

[soft growl of irritation] On my honor, Captain, I'll get to the bottom of whatever's going on with my-...with the engine, so we can get underway again as quickly as possible. I'll have my report to you as soon as I have something concrete to report.

Yami out.
