>> monroe_nell and I are the mods. This isn't a threat or anything, just . . . telling you so you know.
>> Rules are pretty loose, actually. This isn't really a formal challenge; there won't be prompts handed out or anything, although monroe_nell has posted some ideas here.>> The tentative cutoff date for posting things is March 18, because that's when I go on spring ( Read more... )

HEE! This sounds like fun. Plus, it's right up my ally. We need a classified section- For Sale: 1972 Riv, slight water and smoke damage. Otherwise good condition. Best Offer.

Remember that :'D there will probably be a separate post up soon for ad suggestions, since they'd be too short to merit their own posts.

Hey. So my friend Christina (the_antichris) is writing a "Why The World Needs Constable Fraser" kind of article, and talking about how the mythical Fraser "fills a deep-seated need in our communal psyche for selfless heroism and maple syrup." And there will be Joseph Campbell in it, because Chris is awesome like that.

So I don't suppose you'd be interested in writing the equivalent "Why The World Doesn't Need Constable Fraser" article, or anything vaguely academic, really? Because it'd be something cool that you could do well without needing to remember canon in detail.

Or you could draw things. Or both :D?

Do we need to post a comment to say what we'd like to write or check with the mods or anything?

Wouldn't it be fun to write an article about the flaming car driving down the street? With quotes from the carwash workers? And the windshield cleaner?

Or a letter to the editor from one of the people in the club in Chicago Holiday?

This is going to be great! I love this fandom so much. The show's been off the air for what? Nine years? And the fans are still coming up with fresh, fantastic ideas.

I was just going to make a signup post, actually :D so we don't get multiple people trying to write the same thing.

Those are fantastic ideas, by the way. I'm really horribly tempted to write something about James Allodi's kinky Mountie now.

OMG! That's exactly who I had in mind! Write it! Please!

Frannie totally needs to write in, too. All about how she knows the Mountie, she's going to marry the Mountie...

If you don't think the Turnbull home-ec column would fit in with the investigative-journalism feel of the project, then I'm quite happy to drop it.
It was just a crazy idea that made me laugh, and I probably don't have time to write it anyway.

*headdesks* No, it's a great idea, and I would love to see you write it. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear.
