Character Information

General
Canon Source: MS Paint Adventures: Homestuck
Canon Format: Web Comic
Character's Name: Vriska Serket
Character's Age: 6 Solar Sweeps (roughly 13 Earth years)
Conditional: Trolls are generally on their own, with the help of a guardian beast of some sort, from the day of their hatching. The threat of being killed by wild animals, or eve by your fellow troll, is just part of getting through each night. They are a very violent race with a lot of emphasis on being able to take care of yourself. Vriska in particular spent more time taking care of her lusus (guardian) than the other way around. She is self-sufficient and took on the responsibility of taking young trolls prisoner to feed to her giant lusus without much of a second thought. Though she's a little crazy in her own right, age isn't a factor at all.

What form will your character's NV take? Scorpion phone! Seriously, how is this not badass? Being arachnid-themed and with Scorpio as her symbol, it fits.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
Vision Eightfold
This has to do with the fact that one of Vriska's eyes has seven pupils, giving her a total of eight functioning. When she focuses all these onto an object, it gives her a sort of x-ray vision. She uses this to see through Doc Scratch's Magic Cue Ball, anb subsequently loses her left eye over it.

Mind Control
It's exactly what it sounds like! Vriska can control the actions of whoever she chooses, which, in canon, leads to the deaths of a few friends and acquaintances, as well as allowing the main villain to reach the form he does. This does seem to even cut across time and space, as she influences the actions of the humans in their game session as well. There are, however, quite a few who are immune to her abilities, though it's never explicitly stated what the requirements are. Terezi, for example, is immune, despite Vriska's best efforts. It should also be noted that when she's in control of a person, she is also in control of their special abilities, as well, like Tavros and his ability to commune with animals.

Weapons: Vriska wields the Dicekind Strife Specibus, specifically Fluorite Octet, previously used by her ancestor Marquise Spinneret Mindfang. They are a set of enchanted die that resemble the kind you would use for live-action roleplaying on Earth. They do, however, have a different design than the die on Earth have, each side having a different number of dots. They essentially work by rolling the die to see what number combination you receive, so it seems random, and there are over 16 million combinations. This does work, however, better with someone that has all the luck. All of it. There are a few known techniques...

Guillotine de la Marquise
Just what it sounds like, a large guillotine that appears to behead the victim. Vriska used this to put her lusus out of her misery.

Reroll x 2
Allows the user to reroll twice and then use the sum of the attacks against the target.

Ancestral Awakening
This is a transformation, giving her an appearance to look quite a bit like her ancestor, along with a sword and supposedly a power boost as well.

Just as there are some really awesome techniques, with 16 million possibilities, there are probably quite a few lame ones as well.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Thankfully, the MS Paint Adventures Wiki has a wonderful summary of her actions in canon.

Point in Canon: Her death ): At this point, she had been sitting on the surface of the asteroid the trolls had been hiding on to avoid Jack Noir. Terezi comes to confront her for one last time. While Vriska thinks that Terezi can't back up her own threats and turns her back, she ends up getting stabbed through the chest instead. She's left bleeding to death right before the remaining trolls fight off Gamzee.

Character Personality: 8LUH 8LUH HUGE 8ITCH. No, really, when you first meet Vriska, that's pretty much the impression you get. Like the widowed spider that she personafies, Vriska often finds herself without close friends and without the excitement she's really looking for, all because of her own doing. She's notably upset that no one seems to hate her to the extent she hates them, or like her, even. For a long time, she doesn't seem to own up to this as her own fault, instead blaming it on her shitty luck (which Kanaya describes as a series of self-fulfilling prophecies). No, if you asked her, she is more than okay with it. She has a reputation to uphold, of course, and friends are just as easy to come by as enemies. Those around her are much better suited to help further her own goals.

With her Vision Eightfold abilities and her caustic personality, Vriska is known for being manipulative and unforgiving. The people she cares little about end up being food for her lusus, while those she generally likes end up paralyzed at the least or dead at the worst. Thankfully Troll culture tolerates and even vindicates this sort of behavior, and from someone of her blood type, it's expected. While half the time she seems to accept this sort of haughtiness that comes from being of higher class, at the same time, she curses her blood color as well and holds it as some sort of burden. (Her Azure blood is on the higher end of the hemospectrum.) Despite this, Vriska often finds herself to be manipulated in the end. This is partly what fuels her rivalry with Terezi. They started out as partners in her FLARPing exploits, but Vriska's cruelty quickly turned the other girl off, and thus the competition began. Though the other girl has moved on, Vriska constantly tries to revive it. Karkat says that Vriska actually attempts to hate too hard, which in turn makes her hate lackluster and lukewarm.

But she still has to be the best, no matter what! Even at the expense of her own well-being and those around her. Their doomed game session is essentially the result of her own desire to be better and win for everyone, even going as far as upgrading the villain to the point of being unbeatable for them. And despite this, she doesn't show her comrades any sense of remorse. Vriska lives a fast-paced life and doesn't have the time to wait around for everyone else to keep up with her. She has too many irons in the fire for that. While her plans are grandiose, they don't always come to fruitation, despite her best efforts.

Vriska is known to speak in a sarcastic manner, finding most people she interacts with to be boring and not really worth her time. She does enjoy being a little flirty if it gets her what she wants, but more than anything, she is ruthless and very competitive, going into her desire to always be the best. But despite this, she does seem to have a desire to have someone around to keep her in check, shown by her outburst at Kanaya as to why the other troll can't stop her from "doing bad things". She also shows a flushed interest once Kanaya punches her in the face to knock her out of a fight, too. She has no problems pushing limits, especially if it bothers someone else in the process.

While half the time she is flattering herself and boasting about past exploits, Vriska does hold a large amount of self-doubt and insecurities. She tries so hard to seem uncaring and manipulative because that's the image she feels like she has to portray. But the truth of the matter is, Vriska may actually care too much. She admits that she feels bad when her attempts to reconcile with Aradia fail as well as when she finally kills Tavros. She actually states that she feels bad about that one. Vriska had put a lot of time and effort into "bettering" Tavros, though her methods were less than successful, she did actually harbor feelings for him. She also reveals to John that her motive for wanting to take on Jack alone isn't just to be an awesome hero, but also to protect her friends, despite the fact that she realizes all the luck may not be on her side.

Character Plans: Going in-between factions would be a lot of fun, but Vriska would much rather protect her own interests, which override any faction desires. That doesn't mean she wouldn't enjoy flirting with both options, though. At the very least, general trolling and getting involved in dangerous activities is important.

Appearance/PB: "Deformed", God Tier Flash-mode, and awesome fanart
