OMG.  I'm updating.  I know you're all so excited. So let's get down to business.

1) I'm done with my christmas shopping as of Thursday.  Done.  Well, minus any last minute, "Shit, you shouldn't have gotten me anything, really" gifts. This is the first time in years, nay, decades I've been done this early.  Or done before oohh... the 23rd or 24th.  ( Read more... )

Boston, huh? There is a lot to like about Boston, but maybe you should start with somewhere warmer like San Francisco. ;)

Haha, I can't stand the weather out there though. Onshore flow? BLAH!! And getting cooler in the afternoon? SHANANIGANS!! Cold beaches and 3 hours behind the most important time zone in the world?? GAH!! :-P That being said, I'm hoping to come out that way this upcoming year. I do miss y'all!

You should totally try DC/B'more first... I mean, it's on the way to Boston, so isn't it the most logical step? Why pass your final destination? ;)

;-) As much as I'm not a fan of the area, the ready-made family (and blood family in DC) for me is a STRONG pull. You know how I am with Boston though. Plus side, I'd be closer to DC from Boston than from Atlanta AND I could take the train.

I'm sure after I moved there I might find spots to like, but for years I never felt comfortable in northern virginia and maryland. I don't know what it is. It's gotten less pronounced lately, but it's still there. Although for some reason the area around a certain outlet mall seems just like home to me.
