How would Guy's life be if his mom was actually alive?

Guy would probably have turned out more awkward, less trying to be tough. He still wants to be "tough", considering the original event happened before his mom died, but because she's alive he'd have less of a reason to really really try hard about it. A lot of issues he has probably wouldn't be there either; his relationship with his dad wouldn't be so lol emotionally retarded, and he might have been able to resolve the tension between him and his sister. He'd still have his pride, but it wouldn't be an actual serious issue, just...him being stubborn and wanting to keep a certain standard for himself.

But the awkward bit. It'd never leave him because he's been that way since he was little. The difference was that back then it was painfully obvious and now he tries to cover it up. If his mom was alive in some ways he'd be both more and less awkward. He probably would be less stubborn about wanting to express himself properly, but at the same time still fail at actually doing it right. Paradox? What paradox?tl;dr Guy would have turned

Does Guy have problems being understood because of his accent?

Sometimes. When he first came to Japan he was almost totally not understandable, but five years has given enough time to adjust to speaking Japanese. Now, he should be mostly understandable, he just sounds really really really weird to native Japanese speakers or anyone familiar with Japanese. He doesn't really like the language, anyway.

Ray is awesome |D Well, more like Ray is nice and Guy is really glad to have someone from America too, because it's a bit of home in Japan. Though Guy kind of fails at showing it, Ray's energy is a bit infectious so being around him makes Guy feel a bit better, usually. He's also the first person in a long while he'd have no problem with calling a "friend".
