i have a request. i'm idly collecting whatever information about bizarre things and occurrances that exist in ohio, or that at least have their origins here. i'm not really so concerned about people from here, although we've certainly had our share of weirdos (mark mothersbaugh, anyone?) i'm looking for things that are less well known . . . things ( Read more... )

really? wow, i didn't know that . . . cincinnati had steven spielberg, canton (i think) spawned marilyn manson, cleveland (again, i think) likewise belched forth trent reznor . . . ohio is a fucked up place. i mean, i'm from here.

i know that there are several stories about woodland cemetery and it's various attractions. the dog that i took a picture of on my birthday supposedly has a wet nose at all times. i'll try to find more on it for you...

offhand, i can see one very important distinction: i would never choose a howling wolf or whatever as my online avatar.

yeah, i remember you telling me stories buffalo ridge those few times we've driving on it. i've heard the devil door story, too, but i missed the voigt hall story for some reason . . . which is odd, because i think that's the sort of thing that sadie would tell to everyone she met regardless of any other factors.

sister mary carlos . . . she sounds like a thug. i'd be afraid of that ghost for sure. from what little i've seen of the inside of mother of mercy, though, it just looks like the sort of place that would be haunted.

but yeah . . . if you have that link, i'd be interested to see it.
