No, Ithink your hair is good black ^_^ I agree with her 100%...black is best, I'd say go for a wig, they're pretty cheap, I got one for 15.00ish for Thomas's Axl Low costume at Gags Unlimited...

I know that there are Legolas from LotR costumes that have that style of wig. Kinda pricy. And if you are thinking of bleaching your hair, go to a professional, you might end up with orange hair instead of blonde.
