Sindhi scripts

My “mother tongue”, Sindhi, is supposed to have been written in more than eight different scripts-including Devanagari! This comes as a surprise to me. My family always wrote it in the Arabic script. I suspect there are very few Sindhis out there who write using Devanagari, let alone some of the other ancient scripts.

Well, I am a Sindhi too, and sure it does hurt to not know my own language, plus lack of political as well as social power, as we are so distributed across the country.

mylanguageexchange.com is a paid service (aarrghhh).

In fact, IMHO, we should switch over to Devnagri script completely, so that atleast the language could be read and written by us, and not let it die.

Hi Manish,

While searching for some material on Sindhi I reached to your page, I am glad that you have taken some time to create this blog/page.

We Sindhis have been killing out own heritage, no one else is to blame to this condition of Sindhis.

I am glad that have recognized that you are not able to speak Sindhi properly, but I know of many Sindhis who do not want to speak in this beautiful language.

The reason sited are "What is the use of this language"?
