And so does Raman, Hari and millions of others...So here is a basic recipe of making it! My mom used to make it because of the enormous quantity I would consume!

  • Take one cup of peanuts, one teaspoon salt, one teaspoon of groundnut oil and a teaspoon of sugar. Sugar is perhaps optional...but it tastes out of this world if you add it.

I have just one word to write... "Yummy!!!"

I'm going to try this out...

the peanut butter thing.. most probably by today evening or maximum by tomorrow evening :) as I can't just wait more than that!! Now I don't have to run to the store, every time my refrigerator runs out of peanut butter.

And the NICE delicacy by this weekend :)

Thanks for a wonderful recipe... We should now open a Peanut butter fan club , as I used to think that I was the only craziest peanut butter fan, till I spoke to you ;)

Thank you! Do tell me how it comes :-) There is only problem with this recipe of peanut butter. It solidifies or becomes very tight when you keep it in the fridge. But we can't store it outside since there are no preservatives added to it. I wonder what the factory people must be adding to it because of which the market variety of peanut butter does not become very tight when refrigerated....Any tips on that?

You do not need to refrigerate the peanut butter... as they do not go bad. The only reason for refrigeration is that, the peanut butter tends get very smooth, when kept outside the refrigerator, therefore may need a stir before use.

Most of the peanut butter that we get here in India contain some amount of artificial preservatives, as they do not religiously follow the norm of having 90% of peanuts as the content... therefore they include sugar/salt/oil etc. This is also the reason for them having a expiry date (of about 6 months) on their boxes, though they don't last that long... with eaters like us ;)
