Not that I would EVER admonish someone for being dedicated to fitness, but he's kidding himself if he thinks that running 5 miles a day is the reason he's good... it's the other 8 hours a day that he wastes in front a computer monitor. The running is just his way of fighting the truth- Geeks and Jocks are mortal foes.
In fact, he probably HAS to run that much to counter the tendency of his limbs to go into atrophy, or at least to realign into the shape of his computer chair.
