We lived in NY only 3 miles from the famous Woodstock for over 30 years. One of our great delights was a group of restaurants. There was the Little Bear (Chinese gourmet) in Woodstock where my favorite dish was Hunan Shredded Pork with Black Bean sauce. Oh my, it's 6:30 in the morning here and I'm suddenly craving chicken wings and French onion soup. LOL

Maybe someone at a local barber or beauty shop can fill you in on eateries that are small but good.

A few years ago we made a trip back for a funeral and did go to a couple of the restaurants but now we are at an age where the 4+ hour trip and cost of staying in motels back in that area is too much. Mostly, driving that far is too much for us.
