New ScrapBook

There's an announcement about new ScrapBook in lj_pics_beta going live next week - for once it's even in English! :)
(it's confusing though because in Russian new version will be called PhotoAlbum and in English it will apparently still be ScrapBook)

Hey! Thank you for keeping us updated!
A heads-up from my side: Scrapbook seems to be working with XColibur since this morning. :D

Also, I asked them to move my images and so far the 15 GB of space are still there. Seems to be the same for other permanent account holders, so what karadur experiences may be a glitch in the system.

One more thing I posted in the comm (but now I'm not sure if it's not just a glitch for me in this case, as I haven't heard others complain about this yet):

You will still be able to access your new ScrapBook through the link on the navigation menu and the direct link (your_username livejournal.com/pics /catalog), and all the photos you have already uploaded will still remain visible in all entries and comments.

Sadly, this is not true. After the move I've lost "connection" to half of the pictures I'd put in my journal's sidebar. The images were still in Scrapbook, but I had to add the new links in the sidebar editor to make them appear again. Same goes for my mood themes (more than half of the images in both mood themes are gone), and entries, e.g.: http://scolaro.livejournal.com/401482.html

And yes, I already received the RUS email telling me the move was completed, so I don't expect any changes here... :(

Yes, that's exactly what all those people were saying: some (not all) pictures have disappeared as if links haven't been updated properly. Thank you for the info, I've updated the post.
