I too went to ComicCon!

Highlights* During the Women in Sci-Fi panel, I asked the panel how long they thought it would take for there to be a similar panel about kickass gays and lesbians in sci-fi. Hollywood Royalty Ms. Sigourney Weaver (!!!) answered my question very thought-provokingly, and ... honestly, I don't remember what she said exactly ( Read more... )

You know, I thought he was going to give a SMGish answer where he talked about how it made him disciplined, yadda yadda yadda. But nope! He wanted to kill me, instead.

SIGOURNEY EFFING WEAVER talked to me! I was totally starstruck.

I would have been, too! So awesome.

Eliza kinda needs to get over herself a little bit.

Why does this not surprise me? (She also needs to eat 5 cheeseburgers.)

Jackie Earle Haley as Freddie

WHAT? Really? How did I not know this? Oh, man, that makes me kind of sad. He was BRILLIANT in Watchmen, and supposedly amazing in Little Children. Though I'm happy to know he's getting steady work again, I'm disappointed that it's as FREDDIE. Oh well.

Why CT was there I'm not sure. Probably to give me nightmares.

Is he as horrifying in person as he looks in photos?

I offered to buy him a drink -- after all, his comic books made up such an integral part of my childhood -- but he politely declined, saying he already had 5. Cool.

That is so awesome. Stan Lee is the man.

CT was def. as frightening in person. He had this weird suspicious look on his face that was v. v. disconcerting.

Wasn't that a great ep? And Matthew Morison rapping may be one of the sexiest musical moments I have ever seen.

JEALOUS OF YOU SO MUCH!

+I can't wait for Glee.

+Why do you say, "Ooooh, I also learned that Eliza kinda needs to get over herself a little bit." Just curious!

+And I kind of agree with you about Zoe as WW. Why not someone of color to play her? :) She's hot, I love her.

Eliza just seemed a little egotistical. She said something about how Echo was Joss' best female character (um, hell -- BUFFY!), or something to that effect. It wasn't grating egoism, but enough that I found it off-putting.

Zoe would be PERFECT as WW. But sometimes hard core comic fanboys have a cow when a traditionally white character is played by a minority. They were all up in arms when John Stewart was the Green Lantern used in the old Justice League cartoon instead of the original, white Hal Jordan.
