In the middle of a heated "discussion" last night, a friend of my father's commented that I seemed to harbor some serious anti-American sentiments for a girl who is presently living in America.

I told him that though I certainly abhor some of the government's decisions, I still have faith in the American people.

People like you and your parents.

You make this all worth it.

There are a lot of us, I believe. But many aren't sticking their neck out like they should. Even I don't think I'm doing enough.
The numbers were great at the protest, and I heard they were big in Washington and San Fransisco, but not big enough. There are PLENTY that are against the war, who aren't writing letters or speaking out.
I don't think you're anti-American. I'm not either. I'm anti-this leadership, and anti-war, and anti-bomb dropping, and anti-fuel consumption, and anti-brutal sanctions. Anti-Anti-Anti-BUSH.
It feels kind of worthless to believe all this stuff and not have more of a voice than a small sign saying, "Drop Fuel Consumption, Not Bombs". But you make me feel like I'm at least saying SOMETHING. Even if just to you. Thank you.
