Character Name: Enkidu
Character Series: Fate/Strange Fake
Character Age: 4000+ years old and still looks good. And looks about 20.
Background: Here‘s
one,
two, and
three.
Personality: Enkidu, first and foremost out of everything else, is a very loyal person and his is only true loyalty is to his best friend Gilgamesh. He easily forms bonds with other people but they will always come second to his relationship with Gilgamesh. A good example of this would be on his own deathbed when he was cursed by the gods with his illness; he first cursed Shamhat (the woman who 'tamed' him and taught him what the civilized world is like) for bringing him out of the wild. He only took back his curses when he was told that it was because of her that Enkidu was able to meet Gilgamesh, the same person who will honor his burial and death with no hesitation, and then blesses Shamhat right after being told this. And even now when summoned to participate in the Holy Grail War, when his Master was in danger of being killed (being a wolf chimera whom obtained the Command Seals to signify being a Master), Enkidu immediately went into action and killed the said threat before anything had happened to the wolf.
Enkidu also seems to be someone who is keeps a cool head and figures things out as they go. Not only being Gilgamesh's friend, he also advised Gilgamesh on things through out their time together. Namely one being against Gilgamesh's idea attempting to fame and glory slaying the Guardian of the Forest: Humbaba, which Gilgamesh still did anyway because he’s Gilgamesh. But he continued to be a main source of support for Gilgamesh through whatever situation.
Another thing to note about Enkidu is that even though he is 'civilized', he will retain that wild nature of his, which will be the rare times he ever loses his cool head at the initial moment. Namely, he won't take kindly to those he sees as a threat to himself or to his close ones. He will lash out at those who belittle Gilgamesh or curse him. He even gets enraged at Gilgamesh once when he shown pity at Humbaba before killing him for even thinking about showing signs of hesitation after going so far. Another example was shown that when Ishtar was crying for the death of the Bull of Heaven, Enkidu hurls one of the bull's hindquarters' at her to shut her up since she was the one responsible for bringing it out.
Despite being still somewhat savage yet civil, Enkidu remains to be one of the nicer people to be around with. He was willing to help out shepherds with their flock after being civilized, he was even willing to throw himself in front of Gilgamesh's way to defend the honor of some bride he didn't even know before being bad touched by the king and wrestled through the streets of the kingdom for a long while before being beaten-- only to gain a friend for life afterward!
Abilities: As a Lancer class Servant, Enkidu is given a boost of speed beyond being humanly possible.
As a creation of the gods that was intended to rival Gilgamesh in terms of strength, skill, speed and power, Enkidu is one of the strongest men alive in his time to match up to the demigod King of Heroes in physical altercations from hand-to-hand to being able to use many kinds of weaponry in battle despite his frail and petite appearance.
His known Noble Phantasm: Chain of Heaven, it is the same chain that Gilgamesh possesses that was used to help restrain the Bull of Heaven when it ran amok through out Uruk causing drought, famine and killing many men before Gilgamesh and Enkidu faced it. It has an anti-divinity to assist in completely immobilizing those with godhood but can still be used as an ordinary chain for other confrontations.
He also happens to be a good carpenter since he was able to fashion a great cedar tree into a door to one of the local temples for a local god.
Sample Entry: So this is what the world is like since the last time I had walked on it, hm? It has a rather cold and ugly look to it, but it does have an interesting charm to it. The people here are nothing like the ones from Uruk nor any other place… it makes me wonder how on earth did humans survive after growing so weak yet still be able to survive another day.
No matter though, I’m sure once my brother decides to claim his rule here or not, things will eventually go back as they were. Now then, time to enjoy a good breakfast to start the day and continue to learn more about this new world I am brought to.
Hm. This milk tastes rather odd today though.
