Hi, my name is Cheyne and I'm a parentheses addict.

Although most of the 80s were a complete blur and I am certainly old enough to be you mom, and some would say WAY scarier than your mom, you know I am not your mom (lucky you) and, WAH, I want to be included.

I think the reason I find that LOL thing so amusing is because Stark uses Trillian, which makes this horrid sound that I suppose is supposed to sound like children laughing, but more closely resembles cackling banshees, when anyone sends her an instant message that includes "LOL." It makes her shudder every time. LOL!

It's one of those magical stalking-enabling programs... I mean, um, instant messenger clients. It lets you sign into multiple screen names at the same time. Besides the LOL thing, I think it's probably pretty good. It makes cute monkey sounds when you make a monkey emoticon :(|)

Can you tell I'm five years old?

Hi. I'm definitely not your mom. I don't think I'm scary at all. I have 5 cats and my partner is pregnant and I'm a librarian. And, through a circuitous path I can't recreate I got linked here ....

Hi! Oh my gosh, I have such guilt about the stuff I wrote about my mom for this friend-only post, but now that everyone has commented about it, I can't do anything about it. My poor mother, she's really only scary to me. Okay, that's not true, but still... I feel like a monster!

Hey, cool - queer anarchist librarian cat owners are always welcome here. I also love owls - I even have plans for an owl tattoo sometime in the near future. So anyway, that was my long way of saying welcome!
