So the other day Rob and I were briefly talking about December when it will be time for us to move home to NC. It's always been assumed that we would go back to Manteo (OBX) but lately the housing prices are just out of control. I know I've posted about it before, but the cost of living on the OBX is really high and to buy the house that we want

Some friends of mine actually just bought a home in the Raleigh area and are loving it. These are people that I grew up with in smallville Port Saint Lucie (near Stuart), so they aren't big city people either. I think it's a great idea to do the pro/con list and it will really help you weigh the situation out. I also agree that buying something in Raleigh and living there for a few years until you are ready to start a family and then you can always sell and use the money from the house to purchase one on the OBX. Change is always scary, but I have faith that you two will make the right decision :-)

You're right, change is very scary. I guess I'm just scared, I just know how aprehensive I was about coming to FL and then I got here and I haven't been very happy. I've missed my friends and family terribly and I've been counting down the days until it was time to move home.
