Okay, so apparently Rob has already gotten a head start on this whole moving to Raleigh thing. He called our old roommate Austin, who lives in Kinston, NC (about 45 min. from Raleigh) to talk to him about it. To be close to the airport, I'd look in Cary (a little more pricey), Holly Springs, Apex and possibly the RTP area. Of course, I'm pulling for Holly Springs, but that's just me.

I'd say, baseline prices for a typical 3BR/2b house around 2000 sq ft (not sure how big you want.. ours is 2800) would be around $180-220k.

We've been checking out some homes online just using Wake County as a general search area. We haven't totally decided how big we want to go. I'm sure we'll do at least a 3br/2ba but as for square footage we aren't totally sure. This won't be our forever home and probably one we won't have kids in (but ya never know....lol) so we're thinking we don't need a whole lot of square footage. I'd say somewhere around 1700-2000sq. I grew up in an almost 4000sqft house and surely don't need that until I have kids...lol.

I've looked at the Holly Springs area online and I really like it to. I think Rob and I need to take a few days and go check out some areas.
